English teacher training teams who come to work with English teachers have a four-part curriculum that is taught over two years in four different sessions of eleven days each. The work is done in cooperation with the local government, which invites the teachers to attend the training. Many of the countryside English teachers who come to their first training have never before spoken with native English speakers or foreigners. Many gain a great deal of insight into Western culture, and experience different styles and methods of teaching. They can take these ideas back to their schools and classrooms and will, in turn, help improve the level of English being taught.
